How to interpret oncology randomized clinical trials... in french!
Recently, I published a paper in la Revue Médicale Suisse, which is the leading continuing education journal in the French-speaking world, and is publishing peer-review articles in french.
In this article, I provide key points to look at, beyond complex statistics, when approaching a trial. Those familiar with Vinay Prasad’s and our research team works won’t be surprized! Those are:
inclusion/exclusion criteria: are they mirroring clinical practice?
optimal control arm?
optimal post-progression therapy?
how to approach phase 2 results (and the risk of spurious results)?
informative censoring : technical ? not so much!
The full article is available here. And as a reminder, for those more comfortable with french, Vinay Prasad’s Book “Malignant” is also available in french!
